Mark Hansen and The Windmill Crusaders
Mark Hansen was an amazing person, a creative who loved stories and his family even more. The father of Jacob and Brendon, friend to many others. In 2014 Mark created a scripture-based card game, called "Seeker's Quest", one he could use to help teach his kids, and just have fun, while creating a unique game better than almost all, if not all other scripture card games.
Mark created further games, bringing together more people and creating a community around him with his works, which were ultimately small attempts at making the world a better place. A card game that encourages scripture study, a Role Playing Game designed for family fun and exploring moral situations. Mark wrote fantasy stories encouraging good in the world.
In 2016 he finished work on a new TTRPG designed to help teach his children and have fun at the same time. This was The Heroes Tale. Not long after he began his blog writing stories set in that world, stories that sucked others in, and made the world of Wynne alive.
He helped with and encouraged the creative projects of those around him, which led to all of this, and more creations of others around him being sold together at conventions under the banner "Windmill Crusaders".
Unfortunately, Mark passed away after a year of struggling with cancer in Febuary 2024. However the impact he had on everyone around him is sure to last for some time, including Windmill Crusaders.
What else?
Now, if you want to know any more about this, explore the other pages on this website. Perhaps look into the game Seeker's Quest, as you now have some special cards for it. We could show you how to play, or you could look forward toa Kickstarter we will be doing to complete Mark's last set of cards, one based mainly on the war chapters of the Book of Mormon, named "Title of Liberty" set, an expansion that we want to finish and release soon, for him.
